Paint Effects '50s style !

We tend to think of decorating your house using paint effects rather than wallpaper as an idea from the '90s. In fact this is not so - we're currently having the hall in our 1949-built house redecorated, and the renovation has brought some creative paintwork to light, as shown on the right. At first glance, once the rather hideous textured '70s paper was stripped, the walls appeared to have some even older paper underneath. In fact though, it's all been done with a paintbrush. Sadly, though, it's not really to our taste, so it will soon be covered up once more, perhaps to await rediscovery in the (hopefully) distant future..
